Moulding or casting are both processes of creating parts by forming material inside a mould, rather than cutting it away from a block. It is the best route when you need complex curves, repeatable detail, or a strong, finished component that would be slow, costly, or simply impossible to machine.
At Perudo, you can come to us with a drawing, a CAD file, or even an existing part. We will help you choose the right process, create the pattern and mould, then cast or laminate the final component in-house, ready for finishing, assembly, or rollout.

Moulding and casting options
If you need strength, durability and complex, compound curves, fibreglass moulding is what we often recommend. We build GRP parts using hand lay-up, spray deposition or vacuum-infusion processing methods, giving you a robust part that stands up to real-world use.
Resin casting is ideal when you need repeatable parts with fine detail and reliable dimensional consistency. We cast thermosetting systems such as polyester, epoxy, or water-based acrylic composites. This produces rigid components that can be post-finished for more specialist effects, or supplied as production-ready parts.
Polyurethane casting is a flexible option when you need tailored properties. Through polyurethane processing, we can help you achieve the right balance of strength, resilience and surface finish, making it a practical route for both functional parts and display-grade components.
When you need repeat output that accomodates complex shapes and detailed surface features (while reducing mould split lines), silicone moulds are a smart option. They are particularly useful for detailed shapes, short runs and jobs where surface quality matters.
Where polystyrene mouldings are needed as part of a wider manufacturing process, we can support the creation of forms and tooling that help you produce or cast other components. Particularly useful for large-scale projects, concrete castings, pre-cast construction parts or on-site formers.
Rapid, cost-effective production of rigid, lightweight forms. Ideal for complex or sculptural shapes, polyurethane spray foam works well in flexible silicone moulds and is perfect for film props, set pieces, and temporary installations where weight, handling, and detail are critical.

Pattern or sculpt
You share drawings, CAD, a sketch, or an existing sample. We then create a pattern, sculpture or ‘positive’ that captures the final form.

Mould
We produce the mould tool in the most suitable material for the job. This can include rigid moulds for repeat production, or flexible silicone moulds where release and detail are key. Polystyrene is useful for larger-scale one-off requirements or specifically for pre-cast manufacturing

Cast or laminate
Depending on the material and performance requirements, we’ll either cast resins and polyurethanes into moulds, or laminate fibreglass (GRP) to create robust, complex forms.

Finish
We trim, prep, bond, coat and finish parts in-house so they are ready for installation, assembly, or rollout. For more specialist finishes, cold-cast metals or other decorative effects can be incorporated during production.
